Nelson Jones

Nelson left Tennessee and moved to Texas in 1966. He met and married the love of his life Jackie (Meals) Jones and they shared 57 years together.

He was a cabinet maker by trade with him and Jackie owning their own cabinet business for several years. He and Jackie were long time members of New Life Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas. They were very active in the church where he served as an elder for the past 10 years. Other than spending time with family his favorite past time was sitting at home, flipping through channels on the tv and enjoying his ice cream.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Virgil Jones and sister M.R. Conaster.

He is survived by his wife Jackie, sons Ken Smith, Kevin Smith, Gregory Jones and wife Kim and daughter LaDonna Eubanks and husband Mike. 5 grandchildren Justin Smith and wife Beth, Jami Allen and husband Justin, JD “Bubba” Kirk, Wade Jones and wife Heather and Emily Jones and husband Jordan. 9 great grandchildren, 2 sister in laws and a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home 1000 S. Highway 175 Seagoville, Texas 75159 on Friday, March 21, 2025 with a Visitation at 1:00 p.m, funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. and Interment immediately following at Roselawn Cemetery.
