Mary Large English

She entered into life on April 4, 1934 in Dallas, Texas, to Fred and Eva Large and was raised in Dallas, Texas. She attended from N. R. Crozier Tech High School in 1950.

She married Carl E. Laird in 1950 and the couple had 5 children. She was proud to be a mother and a homemaker, before becoming a Sales Person at Hickory Farms where she worked for two years.

In her spare time, Mary enjoyed playing dominos and cards at the local Senior Citizens Center.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a nurturing person and a woman with a fond love for her chickens, cats, and dogs.

She is preceded in death by her oldest son, Carl E. Laird Jr.; and her youngest daughter, Terry Malone.

Mary is survived by her children, Laura Turner, Lannora Swinburn, and William Laird; seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

She will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of life for Mary will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159.
