Jodi Denise Slayton Gunnels was born on February 18, 1968 in Kaufman, Texas and was taken to the Lord on April 9, 2020.
Jodi is survived by her loving family: parents, Bill and Pat Slayton, children, Joss Eden, Marissa Gunnels and Roderick Gunnels, Jr., grandchildren, Noah Jefferson, Jr. and expected granddaughter due this year, sister, Karen Slayton Turner and niece, Megan Hanson.
She graduated from Seagoville High School and later worked as an Administrator Assistant for a Health Care Center. She was a former Seagoville City council member for Parks and Recreation Department.
She was very talented in crafting, she loved to make tutus, wreaths, homecoming mums, gift baskets and crosses. She also loved collecting jewelry. She will be missed by all who knew her.
