In 1960, Danny was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at the Southside Assembly of God Church in Odessa. Upon graduating from high school, he attended Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie, Texas. He was licensed by the West Texas District of the Assemblies of God in February of 1966.
After graduating from SAGC in May of 1968, he married his forever love, Patsy Brock, on August 31, 1968. To their union, four boys were added.
After evangelizing for years, the Rogers became the pastors of the First Assembly of God Church in Seagoville, Texas, which was later renamed Celebration Church. Pastor Danny and Sister Rogers served as senior pastors for 40 years and returned to evangelizing for a few years after retirement in 2010.
The Rogers had a God-given passion for Christian education and a love for young people. They founded the First Assembly Christian Academy where they faithfully served as the administrators until their retirement. Their legacy of excellence, compassion, and loyalty has been passed to hundreds of students that were influenced through their ministry.
Pastor Danny Rogers always had a love and passion for Pentecost and has duplicated himself into the lives of evangelists, pastors, missionaries, and lay ministers across the world, including his own sons. Thousands have come to know Christ as their Savior, been filled with the Holy Ghost, and been greatly impacted by the ministry of this General of the Faith.
Danny transitioned into his Eternal reward on July 11, 2022, at 4:00 in the evening surrounded by members of his beloved family. Without a doubt, he heard the voice of his Savior saying “well done thou good and faithful servant!”
