Jerry Armstrong, 75, passed away in Wylie, TX on November 20, 2015. He was born on July 30, 1940 to Richard and Virginia (Sipes) Armstrong of Chicota, TX. Jerry gave his life to the Lord as a young man at Masters Drive Church in Dallas. He was an extremely hard worker all of his life and supported his family as a diesel mechanic. With his astute business sense, he was known as someone that could “turn a dime into a dollar”. Affectionately known as “GPJ” or “Grandpa Jerry”, he loved to spend time with his family and was always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed watching Clint Eastwood movies and other western movies. Preceding him in death are his parents and brother, William “Butchie” Smith. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Marilyn (Roberts) Armstrong; children: Tracy Bradshaw and husband, Keith; Sabrena Lacey and husband, Dan; Tonya Stiltz and husband, Michael; Jerry Armstrong and wife, Brandy; grandchildren: Megan, Morgan, Gregory, Bradley, Cody, Chase, Mallory, Rafe, Jacob, Taylor, Shelby, Kaylee, Ashley and Casey; great-grandchildren: Noah, Judah and Eli; brothers: Gerald Armstrong and Ronnie Armstrong; and a host of extended family members and friends that will miss him dearly.
