He is survived by his mother Clorine, his siblings Grady Mack and Sara McGee, his wife Debra, and his daughters Brittany Strain and husband Chris Strain, Heather Humphreys and husband Austin Humphreys, his grandchildren Eden, Emma, and Evan Strain, and Hayden and Macy Humphreys.
Jeff graduated from Mesquite High School in 1974. After graduation, he attended DeVry Institute. He worked for Continental Electronics for several years before joining his dad and brother in starting the family business. There was nothing he couldn’t do, from farming to electricity, even building his own house. He spent most of his time working on the family’s “somewhat antiquated” equipment or occasionally repairing a piece of machinery that his brother had used. He enjoyed spending time at the lake fishing, playing craps, listening to music, and playing the song game. He will be deeply missed and remembered always.
During his life, he and his family took on many endeavors. They built Beltline Mobile Home Villa, operated Cousin’s Pizza, opened Fast Track Raceway, started Lakeside RV Park, and maintained their beloved lake property. He was known by the grandkids as Pop or Poppers but to the rest of the family he is and always will be “El Jefe”.
A visitation for Jeff will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 2:00 PM with A committal service to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens
