Glen Dale Pettit, 77, passed away on August 28, 2017. He was born on June 16, 1940 to Clarence and Irene (Brown) Pettit in Paris, TX. Glen was self-employed and worked in both the construction and supply company areas for most of his life. He had a great sense of humor and was very funny, even with his smart remarks to you, but was loved by everyone that met him. He was fascinated by early model T-Birds and had almost completely restored his 1965 short-bed Chevy truck that he drove daily for years. Glen loved his pets and was very attached to his Pekinese Lucy, Nelly the Shih-Tzu and Homer and Little Bit who were homeless rescues. Affectionately known as “Pa” by the grandchildren, he was always soft-spoken, kind and patient, and his greatest pleasure in life was his family. Preceding him in death are his parents, four siblings and granddaughter Rylee Grace Pettit. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years Cathy Pettit; many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters and a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly. A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home in Seagoville, TX. Please leave condolences for the family at www.roselawn-funerals.com.
