Eva Nelle Harris, 84, returned to her heavenly home on July 31, 2016. She was born on March 6, 1932 to parents Clifton Smith, Sr. and Annie Henson Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents Clifton and Annie, sisters Mildred Reed and Sammie Maxwell, and brothers T.B. Mills, Dillard Smith, and William Smith. Eva Nelle has three surviving sisters, Anna Bolton, Velma McDougald, and Carolyn Bynum, and brother Clifton Smith, Jr. Born in Kaufman County, Eva Nelle graduated from Kemp High School in 1950, where she met her loving husband of 63 years, Jesse Harris. She was a member of the Seagoville Church of Christ and was a Secretary in the church office for 35 years. She previously worked with the City of Seagoville and Huey & Philp Manufacturing. Eva Nelle was a strong Christian and a fantastic cook, the family's favorite was her banana pudding. She was blessed with a large and loving family, and will be forever remembered by her husband Jesse, son Larry Harris and wife Debbie, son Gary Harris and wife Sheree, and daughter Janet McClelen and husband Steve. Also survived by 7 grandchildren: Stacey Medford and husband Aaron, Brandi Harris, Kevin Harris and wife Meagan, Dawn Bishop and husband Brian, Jennifer Duncan and husband Brandon, Ashley Miller and husband Josh, and Jeff McClelen; 12 great-grandchildren: Jessica McManus, Jeremy McManus Jr., Kylin Bishop, Joshua Miller Jr., Chloe Medford, Kadie Harris, Ryder McClelen, Stephanie Duncan, Jacob Medford, Ace Miller, Maddox Duncan, and Keagan Harris. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 3 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home in Seagoville, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 4 at the Seagoville Church of Christ with Bill Burk officiating. The burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Kemp, TX.
