Oh dear Sister, I don't want a minute to think cause I think of you and I can't stand it. The tears flow and I  can't stop.  If only I could have one more day with you. You wanted to delay anyone visiting due to all the medical stuff Kenny needed to go through. I wish hadn't listened. To hear your voice, to hear your laugh, to touch your warm skin one more time. 
Your kids are doing as well as can be expected. The weaker ones have become stronger, and the strong have become a little weaker.  I guess one doesn't know how deeply they love someone until they are gone. Our lives have changed forever, Sister. I should have brought my Bible. I pray our Father has you in his loving arms. I pray that when he called you home it was beautiful and easy for you. I hope you didn't give up because of the disappointment in not getting that last kidney.  It really was time for you to rest. Maybe God   knew it would take too long and HE didn't want you to suffer anymore. That's the only thing that's getting us all through the grieving process. I miss you so and will always love you and think of you every day. Goodnight, Sister. 

I had written more but lost it. Thank you and God BLESS the funeral home for keeping this open. I checked on a whim - I will take that as a sign that was I was supposed to write after all and again.

To my sweet loving Grandma,

I still can't believe you're gone. It seems way too soon, but the way you've touched the people in your life is just amazing. You left your mark on so many people and brought so many people happiness. I never once saw you without a smile on your face, it's like nothing could bring you down. Every time my mom and I would come visit I remember us just sitting around talking, you both would have one of those God awful Clamatos haha, I would grab a Coke from the fridge and just listen to y'all. 

I would love to be able to do that one more time, just to see how much you made my mother smile from the joy you brought to her.

Tina and Kenny had it made with you as their mother and wife. It's heartbreaking to know you won't be here with us, but I am very grateful and thankful that we all have a special angle watching over us. Until we meet again with our special little lady, from us all we miss you, we love you, and thank God for the very special time we were able to have with you. 

I love you Grandma, I will tell your great grand kids about you as often as I can, I can't say it enough..until we meet again we love you and will always miss you.

Mom- Saying goodbye to you is the hardest thing I have ever done in my whole life.  Some people say that their mom is their best friend just because it sounds good but with me it's the truth.  I loved everything about you. I would give anything to have one more day with you or get one more hug. I miss your voice and your smell and our little inside jokes. You never made me mad or got on my nerves.  I miss hanging out with you like the way we use to go to bingo or out to eat or shopping on my days off. Or if I didn't come see you we would text each other like 20 times that day and talk on the phone 3 or 4 times. I miss talking to you on the way home from work every day. Sometimes I still start to call u when I get in my car after work until I realize what I'm doing. I told Kenny and Tina that I know you would want me to be the strong one and help them get through this but I don't feel strong. I feel weak. So weak. I miss u so much. You were such a great mom to all of us. I tell people that ask how I'm doing that I don't have any regrets when it comes to you and that I know you know how much I loved you because I told you every single day :)  I will do my best to guide Tina through life like I promised you and I will try to help Kenny and Nick out as much as they will let me. You know that husband of yours is stubborn.lol And I will try to be the best me I can be so I can make you proud. I will think of you every day until I see you again beautiful lady. To my beautiful mom. I cant believe your gone its like a bad dream that never ends. What i wouldn't do for just one more minute to tell you and what a loving, strong, brave person you are. I find myself a little lost and scared. Afraid of life without my mom. Little crazy still talk to you like you are standing next to me. Maybe you are that would be wonderful. So until i see you again i will try to live my life the best i can. I will try to be brave and be as kind as you. I know when my time is up i know you will be waiting for me and what a wonderful day that will be. I live you so much mom and miss every second of every minute of every single day forever! With such a large family we have branched out and disconnected in many ways,  but we share a bond of love that knows no distance.   We share the sorrow and hope family comfort with Gods help will heal the pain of losing a special person in so many ways.    Perry, Krist, Charlie, Peyton King and Karla Sims.

Our deepest sympathy to you all.  We lost touch so long ago as I moved to Washington State and Dawn also moved from South Dakota.  I am Dawn's cousin. It was an honor knowing you Dawn. You welcomed me into your family and made me feel like I have known you and your family my whole life. Just in the brief time that we have known each other, you have showed me what its like to put others first. Your love for your family is powerful and showed through you every time I saw you. I still can't believe you're gone. I didn't expect you to go this soon. I feel I have gained so much from having you as my mom, though I still want more. I wish we had more time together to laugh, to love, and play those slots! I will always remember all the good times we had together. From playing Yahtzee to feeding the ducks or just grilling out. I will miss all the long talks on the phone chatting about the family and who's doing what. I will miss your support and advice during hard times. To my other mother:  There is so much I want to tell you and I feel as though I never had a chance to.  You are a beautiful and kind person and I feel as though you left this world too soon.  God called you to his kingdom as your time on earth was done. Even through all the pain and suffering you endured you were always there to help when you could. I'm thankful God placed you in my dads life. You are truly a blessing and will be missed terribly. I promise to always be there for Tina and help her in anyway I can. There are so many things I could say about you. You were always my Angel. You are one of a kind and no one can replace you. You had the most beautiful soul. You were and will always be my best friend. I cant explain how much pain I am feeling now that your not here with me. I'm lost without you mommy. I hope you help guide me in the right direction in life and just know I will do everything I can to make you proud. I am honored that God put you in my life as my mom. I was blessed by him because you taught me what it's like to be truly loved. Apart of me left when you did and I don't know if I will ever be able to gain that part of me back. I will take everything you taught me and take care of the family. I will talk to you every morning and every night, maybe all day. I will one day tell my kids about their grandma and how special you are to me. You will never be forgotten. God rested on Sunday and that's when he took my beautiful Angel to rest. All the pain is gone and even though it hurts me, I know your with God and one day I will be with you again. I LOVE YOU MOMMY SO MUCH FOREVER AND ALWAYS.

I am sad to hear about Cousin Dawn's passing. I wish we lived closer so I could have spent more time with her.My deepest condolences to all of you.

My heart aches for the loss of Dawn and for those who are grieving with sorrow.  Though distance and circumstances of life kept me from seeing Dawn for quite sometime she was always in my heart as a kind, caring cousin.  My thoughts and prayers are with Dawn's family.
