Betty Faye Frazier was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Betty will be remembered as a very exceptional person. She was born on September 25, 1935 to Raymond and Pauline Graves, Sr. in Dallas, Texas. Betty worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Betty was blessed with two children, daughter, Vicki Bohannon and son, Coy Frazier. Another blessing for Betty was the gift of one granddaughter, Carsyn. Affectionately known as "Nanaw", she loved and lived for her family and she will always be #1 to them. Fortunately, Betty enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Betty worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was food service and she was employed for DISD for 32 years, serving over 5,500 students per day. Betty always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done. She began her career at Edward Titche Elementary and also worked at the Annie Webb Blanton Elementary School, John Quincy Adams and Bryan Adams schools before completing her retirement while working at Skyline High School Betty enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were cooking and "arm therapy" at the boats. While her children were in school, she attended cosmetology school and pursued that career for about 10 years. Betty’s faith was important to her and was a member of Calvary East Baptist Church. Betty passed away on March 7, 2017 at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband of 50 years Coy Frazier, and brother Raymond Denner Graves, Jr. She is survived by her children Vicki Bohannon and husband Thomas of Kaufman and Coy Frazier and wife Sandra of Kaufman; her granddaughter Carsyn Frazier and her precious baby, Tootsie Girl, a Pekingese and Poodle mix. Simply stated, Betty was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Betty leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Betty Faye Frazier. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 9, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.. There will be a graveside service on Friday, March 10, 10:00 a.m., both events will be at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, TX. Betty will be laid to rest in Hillside Garden, Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville, Texas.
