For three quarters of his 78 years, Tom lived in cold states; North Dakota, Wisconsin, and South Dakota. He chose to spend the remainder of his life in sunny, warm Scottsdale, Arizona. He thoroughly enjoyed Southwest history, culture, and diversity. A massive stroke took him from us on Nov. 30, 2016. Besides many cousins and friends, Tom leaves his two sisters, Mildred Heber and Margaret Vaine and his favorite (and only) brother-in-law, Paul Vaine. On Dec. 15 at St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, a rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass for this quiet, kind, gentle man.
