Ted was born in Detroit, MI on April 3, 1939.
He graduated from Mumford High School and then received a BS in Business Administration with an Economics Minor from Parsons College.
Ted was married to Sybil Jump, the love of his life, on September 22, 1963 at Temple Beth El in Detroit, MI.
During his lifetime, Ted worked at Glennstone Builders with his Dad, then opened his own Real Estate office, followed by several years with Valic, a financial services firm that offered relocation services to Arizona. Once there, he started Spectra International, an Executive Recruiting/Human Resources firm in 1989 with his wife. Both happily retired from this firm in 2010.
Ted was a lifetime member of the Michigan Masonic Order as well as various organizations such as the NRA; and, following his passions at the time, the Dragon Society International, National Council of Corvette Clubs or the International Hockey League to name a few. He had a real passion for sports cars, especially the Corvette, and belonged to several Corvette Clubs in the Phoenix area over the years.
Ted was always athletic and played hockey in the International Hockey League, then became Chief of Referees for the same league. He loved racquetball and became a club pro at Sports Illustrated Fitness Center going on to win several tournaments including the CANUSA Games.
Ted was a Black Belt in Kenpo Karate, and found the joys of biking and used that as his daily method for fitness and mental well being. He always enjoyed attending activities for his children, then once again for his grandchildren with his children by his side. Ted had a passion for every sport but, most recently, soccer was at the top of his viewing order.
Ted was always a winner. Never a romantic but always a steadfast protector and loving husband, father, grandfather and good friend. He fought against cancer four times in the past ten years and won. The fifth battle became his last but his positive, winning attitude remained until the end. He was a good person and will be greatly missed.
Ted is survived by Sybil Goldberg (wife), Kimberly Kasle and Michael Goldberg (children), Lauren Kasle Sanchez and Chloe Kasle (grandchildren), Sharon Jump Dodge (sister-in-law), Lisa Klaska and extended family (niece), David Jump and extended family (nephew), Andy Bowman (niece) all with Michigan residences and a cousin, Paula Schreiber, of Cleveland, OH.
