Steven William May, age 60, passed away September 24, 2019 at Banner Thunderbird Hospital after a brief illness. Steven was born November 23, 1957 in Holbrook, Arizona to Bill and Lena May. At 11 months of age, his parents, along with brother Jim moved to Flagstaff, Arizona. There he graduated from High School, going on to Grand Canyon College in Phoenix to pursue a degree in preaching ministry. Then on to Southwest Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.
His first year there, he married Carol and while living there, his son, Christopher Steven was born. Steve’s business, Midi-Marvels was created 21 years ago and has brought accompaniment music to countless churches around the world. Steve was an accomplished pianist, starting at age 7 taking lessons on the piano. Now he has two grandsons following in his footsteps wanting and learning to play like their Grandad Steve. Steve would tell you that over the course of lessons he took, Ruth Wood was his best piano teacher. He gives her credit for wanting and learning to play church hymns (just like Ruth Wood).
