Swerdlow, Shirlee "Shook" 83, passed peacefully on January 4, 2015 in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was born March, 18, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, to loving parents Sol and Bessie Hoffman. Shook was most pleased with being a wife, a mother and grandmother along with her years of service helping the Phoenix Shanti Group. Shook is preceded by her loving husband Julius and daughter Beth. Shook is survived by her two sisters, Lynn and Fran; son Seth; and granddaughter Brittany and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Hospice of the Valley.
