Bob grew up in West Babylon, NY and graduated from West Babylon High School. He was a proud New Yorker and WB Eagle and had many friends that remain close to this day.
Bob moved to Arizona in 1991 where he earned his insurance license. That decision would prove to be one of the best career moves of Bob’s life. Bob was a natural born salesman and loved the insurance industry. On April 1, 1992, in an insurance class, he met his wife, business partner and best friend, Jan. Together they established Paragon Partners, a business which grew beyond their wildest dreams. Bob’s vision and tenacity turned Paragon Partners into one of the biggest General Agencies in the Southwest.
His loyalty and dedication to his partnerships enabled him to become a lifetime member of the National GA Advisory Board for UnitedHealthcare, American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Advisory Board, TransAmerica Advisory Board, and UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation Advisory Board. One of Bob’s great loves was sports, especially golf! He was fortunate to play Augusta National seven times. Out of all of the golf courses Bob played all over the world, his favorite was Firerock CC. The friends that he met there were more than just friends, they were his brothers. Bob was always smiling, telling jokes, smoking cigars and being a great friend to all who knew him. Bob had a big heart that was larger than life.
Bob is survived by his spouse Jan of 25 years; his sons Robert (Shawna), Thomas (Alice) and Patrick; his daughter Samantha (Ronnie) Van Dover; his grandchildren, Link, Leighton, Madison and Carter; his mother Ruth; brother Bruce; sister Cindy and nephews Joseph Vasquez and Gary Hart.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Saturday January 30, 2021 at 3:00 pm. Via zoom. Please visit bobhart.net for more details.
