There are no words for a loss like this. All I can say is that I was truly touched by her story, her life, her wise and willful expression of passion for your family. I will be lighting a candle for her every 19th December and give prayers for the well being of your family.

I read the story about the family who lost their daughter to a skiing accident and how your wife was the person who received the heart in a transplant and although I was sad for the family who lost the daughter, I was happy for your family and now I am also very sad for your family and I am sending my condolences to all of you. So many were inspired by her story and I know there are no words that can comfort you, only time will do that.  Hold her memory close to you and your children.

I'm so sorry for your loss and also to Taylor's family as well. I just watched the video. I think so many of us were rooting for everyone in involved. I'm still a believer in organ donation and it gave Patricia a second chance at life, I just wish it had not ended like it had. Again, my thoughts are with both Patricia and Taylor's families!

I read the story of Patricia meeting Taylor's parents and then saw this, I was devastated,  it literally took the breath out of me.  I am so sorry for both families.  Peace and good wishes.

It was amazing that Taylor gave her heart to you and it beat and you were alive again. I don't know what happened next, but I know you must have been so blessed and appreciative of all the efforts to save your life as well. I was reverted to this link as well, and it breaks my heart to see anyone suffer. Now both families face such terrible fates. Taylor's gift allowed Patricia's gifts to touch so many more lives...and those gifts will be passed on throughout time...that is what I learned from the beautiful video...Imagine what Patricia's family shared with those extra years...Blessings to her family and Taylor's...

I just watched the Taylor's gift video.  Prayers and love to both of the families and all of their loved ones.  Now Patricia and Taylor are special angels in heaven together.

There are no words to describe the incredible gift of receiving a heart of someone who lost their life so young, so that this woman could have a few years more with her husband and children. I just saw the video and am truly sorry for everyone's loss. ---Laura

I just finished watching the video where Patricia met the parents of Taylor who donated her heart and I was sobbing and thought what a wonderful gift.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I am so happy that she was able to have a few more years with her family. Condolences to the family.

I just saw a video of the mother and father of the donor meeting with Patricia. It brought me to tears. I never met her, but in my heart, I feel a connection, anyway! Please accept my condolences. I can't imagine the loss and pain you must be experiencing. When I think of my loved ones that have passed away, I try to think of happy times we shared. Please don't dwell on her death, celebrate her life! I'm glad she got to spend the last few years of her life, sharing moments with her husband and children with a quality she may not have had without the transplant. I pray for her, and her family. I just heard about her transplant, and her losing her battle, this week. I'm sorry for your loss!

Deeply sorry to learn that Patricia passed away. The gift of organ donation gave her a bit more precious time with her loved ones but she also gave the doners family the beautiful gift of hearing their daughters heart beat once more. I cannot believe this, I was so touched when I watched the video of her transplant and to know there was hope, I was deeply saddened and shocked by this, God be with the whole family.

What a beautiful story.Today we laid my nephew to rest.He was struck by a hit and run and we did not know for 17 hours.His organs would have been donated,but the time had been to long.R.I.P. PATRICIA AND CHRISTOPHER SCOTT HOWARD.ANOTHER ANGEL GOT HIS WINGS..

She was gracious enough to let the parents of the donor heart come into her home and listen to the heart beating in her chest. That proves what a loving and giving person she truly was. My deepest sympathies to her husband and children! Always know that she did everything in her power to be strong and live for you all. Don't ever forget that!!

The first thought I had when I learned of Patricia's passing was Taylor standing there with open arms welcoming her. That was a very comforting thought. Our friendship wasn't a day-in, day-out sort of thing.  We just kind of hung out on the fringes of each others' lives, but when we got together, it was like time hadn't gone by.. At all.  It was the kind of friendship that just picked up where it left off.  We had so much in common.. On the inside, that is.  You had me pegged from day one.. And probably knew me, on some level, better than most.  I just wish we had more time to do the things we'd talked about... The photos..  The writing...  All of it.  How careless of me to assume we'd both be around forever.  I hope you knew... And still know, how very special our friendship was to me... And that your life really changed my perspective on things too numerous to count.  You were my friend, Patricia...  And I will never forget that.  I will always carry a piece of you in my heart... I am so sorry for your loss.  I met Patricia on a support board for women with pregnancy induced heart failure.  She was wonderful and will be greatly missed.

Patricia was one of the most compassionate people I have known, always putting others first.  I will surely miss the talks we had and the way she made me laugh.  To Sam, Jack and Joe you are in my thoughts and prayers, know that you are surrounded by love.

Your Wife and Mommy helped more people than you will ever know.  I was one of them.
