Paramjit was born on August 27th in 1938 in Pharwala, Punjab, India. Her father Charan Singh Sanghera was a railway engineer, and her mother Ranjit Kaur, was a homemaker. Paramjit was one of four Sanghera siblings - a beloved sister to her three (late) brothers: Daljit Singh, Amarjit Singh and Narinder Singh.
Paramjit married Amarjit Singh Kallu in 1956, and they have four daughters and one son: Baljit Kaur Bhungal (USA), Hardeep Kaur Khunkhun (UK), Kuljit Kaur Basi (Canada), Gurpreet Kaur Samra (USA) and Amandeep Singh (USA). Paramjit is survived by her spouse, children, her spouses, 14 Grandchildren, and 8 great Grandchildren.
Paramjit then moved to the United States in 1986 with her family to begin the next chapter of her life. Paramjit was a woman of high values and was very well respected not only in her family but in her community. It was not uncommon for all to call her for advice or just listen to her wholesome knowledge of life. Family was the number one priority for her and motivated her until her last breath. Her strong-willed nature carried her through some tough times in life, but she was not one to give up. She found solutions and she always kept her head held high. Her willpower was unmatched, and her determination was formidable. Her commitment and faith in God served her well until her soul departed. She was the success story every immigrant hopes and wants.
Paramjit's love for her plants and garden were enjoyed by all. She loved sewing, knitting, and she had exceptional skills in her household. Paramjit enjoyed Gurbani, praying and watching her Indian Soap Operas.
She will not only be missed by her family, but her extended family and community have suffered a huge loss. So many looked up to her and she was a parent to them. Only they know what they have lost. Paramjit went very suddenly but prior to that she lived a very full healthy life.
Family values, strength, and Faith.
Paramjit left her legacy through her family to continue and she will always stay in our hearts.
The Kallu family would like to express their deepest gratitude for all for the love and support they have received during the loss of their mother and grandmother aka Bibi.
A visitation and funeral service for Paramjit will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
