She relocated from Litchfield, IL to Scottsdale, AZ in 1970 with her twin boys Dean and Donald.
Marge was active in Lady Shriners and especially enjoyed her time in the clown unit, dressed up in full clown attire and makeup, she would participate in parades as well as charitable and philanthropic activities such as visiting local hospitals, especially the children’s wards. In addition to her active participation in the Lady Shriner’s, in 1975 she was a founding member of the Scottsdale Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi – a women’s sorority.
She enjoyed travelling the lower 48 with her husband Gene Jones and their 2 furry friends, Missy and Snickers, in their diesel motor home. They would stop and visit many exciting historical and scenic places along the way as well as visiting with family and friends. In addition to their cross-country trips, they also enjoyed many shorter camping trips with other RV friends throughout the Southwest United States. They were also active members of the Elks, Moose, and American Legion organizations.
A devoted mother and wife Marge enjoyed her homemaking skills and decorating as she proudly lived in her Scottsdale home for over 50 years - the many memories she leaves behind are priceless.
Her final resting place is at the Phoenix National Cemetery - Columbium Burial along with her deceased husband Fremont Eugene Jones (2019) a most beautiful, quiet, scenic, spiritual environment.
She will be deeply missed and loved by all that knew her.
Sidebar: As her 24x7 caregiver for the past 4+ years I got the privilege in getting to know the person I've called mom all my life. She obtained a most valuable title as not only my mother but a true FRIEND whom I will miss deeply. Upon learning of her Great Grandmother's passing my 13 year old granddaughter sent me windchimes with the inscription, "When tomorrow starts without me - don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart". Mom loved windchimes and had many.
Her faithful companion stood by and watched over her fearlessly for many years and she would ask that you donate to the Arizona Humane Society. https://www.azhumane.org
