Margaret Marie (Barker) Faust, born July 18, 1923 in Lake Odessa, Michigan, and entered into rest on September 10, 2014, in Phoenix, Arizona. Shortly after graduating from high school, she attended Lansing Secretarial School and worked in the Nash-Kelvinator plant making propellers. She served in the Women's Army Corps from early 1944 to December 1945 in Alaska and Nevada during World War II. She was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal - WAC.
During a visit with her sister in Phoenix, she met and married Paul Faust on April 18, 1948, and remained in Phoenix for 66 years. She worked for Arizona Auctioneers, H & R Block as a tax preparer, and volunteered for over 12 years at the Arizona State Veterans Home. She was active for many years at Cross in the Desert United Methodist Church, the Veterans Motor Car Club of America, Phoenix Chapter and with the Local Unit of the Women's Army Corps.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Paul L. Faust, Jr.; dear mother of Paulette (Robert) Burns, Timothy Faust, and the late Larry L. Faust (Angie survives) , and Daughter-in-Law Johnna Faust; dear grandmother of Benjamin Burns, Larry Paul Faust, Rebecca Ekholm, Ryan Faust, Katherine Humaan, Brittany and Annie Faust; and dear great-grandmother of Destiny, Caleb, Tyler, Dennis, Samantha, Ian, McKenzie and Rex.
Family will receive friends, 1:00 - 2:30 PM, Monday, September 15, 2015, at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257, where services will be held at 2:30 PM.
