Lorrie Fisher, 78, passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on July 24, 2011, she was surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in Texas, Lorrie moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico after graduating from school to work at White Sands Missile Range, where she met her future husband, Herb "Dwayne" Fisher. They moved to the Valley after getting married and raised three daughters', Valerie, Vera and Melanie. Though they took the greatest pleasure in their grandchildren, Nicholas, Sarah and Aaron. Lorrie volunteered for Arizona Ballet Theatre during the first years of the company and was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Paz de Cristo. She retired from the City of Scottsdale in order to become a very involved wife in her husband's business and mother in her daughter's activities. A very wise, compassionate and strong Christian woman, she will be deeply missed by her daughters, grandchildren and son-in-law. She is also survived by two sisters, Josie Cochran (Jerry) and Terry Gonzales (Chuco), brother-in-law, Todd Fisher, sisters-in-law, Beverlie Wissner (Don) and Debbie Amano and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Concha and Florentino Jaramillo, brother Louis Jaramillo and sister Mary Jaramillo. She will be best remembered for her profound quotes, moral character and strong faith in and love for God. Visitation was held at Green Acres Mortuary and a funeral Mass was held at St. Timothy's Catholic Community in Mesa.
