Lorraine Goltz Clutter Arland, 88, passed away on July 2, 2017 at the Gardiner Home-Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, AZ, with her family at her side. Lorraine was born on May 30, 1929 in Ziebach County, Glad Valley, SD, to Katherine Magdaline Sept Zulauf Goltz and Christian Goltz. In 1930, shortly after Lorraine was born, her parents, sisters, half-brothers and half-sisters moved to Torrington, WY. Lorraine attended school in Torrington, WY and continued her education in Sheridan, WY. Lorraine married Bobby Clutter on July 7, 1950 in Yuma, AZ. Lorraine and Bob lived in many places in Wyoming, and in Lincoln, NE due to Bob’s construction work. They lived in Torrington, WY for many years. Lorraine worked at K-Mart when they lived in Lincoln, NE. Lorraine graduated from beautician school on July 1, 1964 in Sheridan WY. She opened her beauty shop, The Cut and Curl in her home . Many family members and friends remember getting their hair done and the smell of home permanents with Lorraine at her home. Lorraine also enjoyed sewing dolls and doll clothes with her sister-in-law, Dora Zulauf. Lorraine always welcomed family members and friends with a cup of coffee and wonderful conversations. She loved her garden and grew many beautiful flowers. Lorraine was a member of the dance troupe, The High Steppin Grannies, who danced at the local senior centers and businesses in Torrington. She loved to rock hunt where ever she was at and had a great time prospecting after moving to Phoenix. On April 25 1996, she married Orville Arland of Torrington WY. Lorraine loved raising her three children, Mike, Patty, and Rick. She loved and cared for all her grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews have wonderful memories of times with their Aunt Lorraine. God graced her with 3 children, 11 Grand Children, 24 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. Through the years, Lorraine remained very close to her half-brother and his wife, Ben and Dora Zulauf. After living many years in Torrington, WY, Lorraine moved to Phoenix, AZ where the weather was warmer. She loved the warm and hot days of Phoenix. Lorraine is survived by her daughter and her husband, Patricia and Robin Smith; son and his wife, Mike and Marva Clutter; granddaughters Jennifer, Christy, Lacey, Tracey, Amie, Shannon; grandsons Beau, Christopher, Steven, Kevin, and Jeremiah; great grandchildren Austin, Jessica, Trinity, Tatum, Logan W., Garrett, Jaylynn, Eva, Dalton, Kayla, Anthony, Marissa, Whitney, Tanner, Logan, Cierra, Dylan, Gage, Edan, Morgan, Alex, Emilie, Sophie and Jackson; great great grandchildren Sterlin, Aurianna, Talon, Corbin and Brook; her half-brother and his wife, Ben and Dora Zulauf of Torrington, WY; and many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was proceeded in death by her parents; both husbands, Bobby K. Cluter and Orville Arland; her son Ricky Chris Clutter; sisters Ramona Ardel Goltz Maier and Betty Jane Goltz Moore; her half-sisters Katie Zulauf, Lillian Viola Zulauf Samsel and Pauline M. Zulauf Quinn; and her half-brothers Fred William Zulauf and Edwin Robert Zulauf. A memorial service will be held on July 7, 2017 at 2:00 at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ., 85257. Flowers can be delivered day of service, and will be donated to the local hospice center. Cards may be sent in care of Christy Sisel, 1942 W.
