Linda Mae Kruft was born April 6th, 1951 in Springfield, Ohio to parents Elwood and Helen. She came to Phoenix, Arizona in March 1952 where her dad began working at Kruft Dairy, which was owned and operated by her Uncle Bob and Aunt Kathryn. She would later attend Machan Elementary School and Madison #2 Elementary School then attended Camelback High School. Upon her graduation from Camelback High School in 1969, she went to Phoenix College and went onto graduate from Arizona State University in 1973.
She then began working at the State Compensation Fund (SCF) in 1973 as a workers’ compensation claim adjuster and later as a payroll premium auditor. Her insurance career took her to working for various insurance carriers and TPA’s (third party administrators) in California and Minnesota in a variety of positions (claim supervisor, corporate compliance officer. assistant vice president, etc. ). After 48 years, Linda retired from the insurance industry. During her marriage to Loren, she saw the world through their annual cruise vacations and trips to Coronado, California.
Linda is survived by : Loren McCarty, husband, Cortland McCarty, her step son and his wife Stephanie; nephews William and Brian Kruft and their families, and a niece, Tracy, along with many other great nieces and nephews all living in California.
She is predeceased by her parents, Elwood and Helen Kruft, and her brother Bill Kruft.

Services will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ on Monday January 30th, 2023 10:00 am.
