I knew Kenny for many years, I actually recommended him for the job  at Mont Blanc. He was right outside our door selling phones and we loved him so much that when an underperforming associate was fired we told him to go press his suit, he's one of us now! He was easily one of my favorite people. Always so kind and caring. When he would show a pen he would fan out those incredible long fingers, you know how he'd do that, and customers would be a little hypnotized. I admit I was too. 
We lost touch for a bit when I moved to California, but I did get to have dinner with him one last time over at PF Chang's in 2008. He was as wonderful as ever. 
And I remember we would talk about his heart. He knew he didn't have much time here on earth and I think that weighed on him but you couldn't tell. He was the kind of guy that took care of people, he never made his problem your problem or had an ounce of self pity, even after all the surgeries etc. He kept going with a smile on his face. 
I love you Kenny and I miss you. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend. You are sorely missed. 

Dear Auntie Pat:
I was so sad to hear about Kenny.  I have many wonderful memories of Kenny and your family at those fun parties with all the aunties, uncles and cousins.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

????I met Kenny back in I'd say maybe in 2002 0r 2003'ish ... when he worked in the Scottsdale Fashion Center [Mall] him at Signals... right outside the store that I did {Malm Luggage}. Sadly, we were both smokers ...but that's what brought our friendship together. We ended up 'break'ing at the same times & became 'smoke-buddies'... before long we were friends & started meeting at clubs with other friends for this & that... and he met many of my friends & work-partners. Later he worked for MonteBlanc... There was a time where he moved away to Vegas & I was so sad that my friend was gone ~ but when he decided to move back, things seemed right again and our friendship started all over again!

He was such a balanced person & never had ill to say of anyone. I can't believe he's gone from us now!  I always considered him my best Guy friend.... he was so Amazing! 

In my single days we'd go out now & then & have a drink, or play games of pool, watch a movie ...or go see Itis together, when they were in town... then when I married, and had a baby - we'd call each other every now and then, when we could {him being busy with work & me in the home}... whenever we did talk, sometimes it would be for a couple hours... and he'd just let me ramble about everything & nothing & he was just fine with it! 

Norm [my husband] got to know him a little - and we'd have him over for BBQ's sometimes, if Kenny could make it... invited him with us to a D-Backs {baseball} game, wherein he decided to sit by Norm, rather than me so he could WATCH the game rather than hear my chatter! ha ha ha He even played his the guitar to Xari when she was just born!

Though Norm didn't know him WELL, he loved him too & said that he had total trust in him & thought he was a wonderful person! ~ We were always supposed to go target shooting together - someday ... {but never could around his schedule or ours}... really sad! ~ I/we miss him so much & my eyes keep filling with tears ~ but I know we were blessed to have made such an Amazing friend!

Kenny was always the poet in our friendship.  In a card he wrote to me when I was moving away once he said, "What can I say; I am not good at times like these." I will leave his words to say it all. As the owner of Scottsdale Pen, I had numerous occasions to visit with Kenny for help and guidance. He was always friendly, knowledgeable, and more than willing to answer my questions. He was a good man and I know our little downtown community of merchants will miss him. So sorry for your loss.

Auntie Pat, please accept my condolences. I have such fond memories of playing with Kenny at family gatherings. At various points in my childhood, he introduced me to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bill Cosby's stand-up comedy, and the study of U2's lyrics. He was always into something cool that I wanted to know more about. I'm grateful for the time I got to spend with him.

I am still lost for words but I do know that Kenny is in a better place.  My former pastor once told me that when the good Lord calls you home, don't argue, but say, Yes Sir and go.
