Karen Aline Moore

Karen is survived by her sister, Bettina; her nieces, Wendy, Cindy, Laurie, Christy and their great nieces and nephews, Ryan, Ethan and Jordan, Alexa, Kahilan, Alex, Tyler and Jack. Her husband, Olan Moore and her parents Ruth and Clarence Rider predecease her.

Born in Superior, Arizona in 1943. She was educated as a child in British public schools, graduated High school in Japan where she formed the first Majorette dance line and played sports such as bowling and basketball. Karen attended a Christian college in Tokyo until their family was stationed at Kirkland Air Force Base. Later, she married Olan Moore in Albuquerque, NM in 1964. They traveled and lived in many different states and she held a career in which she retired from as District Manager in Chicago of H&R Block. After retirement and working for the town of Shawnee, KS they moved back to Scottsdale, AZ to be closer to family and continued to travel the United States by RV, trains, boats and planes. She enjoyed traveling the world, cross-stitching, crocheting, reading, antiquing, and celebrating others. She was an avid Cardinals football fan

Karen will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who loved her. Funeral Services will be at Green Acres Mortuary 401 North Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85257. January 3, 2019: Viewing 9:30am, Funeral 10:00am. Flowers and condolences may be offered at Green Acres Mortuary. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
