Janet Louise Mahoney, 85, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on April 3, 2011. Janet was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on June 3, 1925 to Frances and Carol Rosequist. She married John Mahoney on June 3, 1946 and they moved to Phoenix in 1959. Janet raised seven children and was always very active in her church. Janet loved music, playing piano and singing throughout her life. She wsa preceded in death by her husband, John, and is survived by her brother, Robert Rosequist. She is also survived by her children: Linda Mahoney, Carol Mahoney, Gary Mahoney, John Mahoney, Joy Staab, Faith Pourkaveh and Jill Mahoney, as well as nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2:30 PM at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85014
