He served in World War II, 84th Chemical Mortar battalion in Italy and North Africa as Private First Class in the US Army, having received both the Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals. Irv would marry Muriel June Goffman in 1951 and was married to her for 69 years until her death in 2019. Along with his brothers, Herman and Louis, Irv owned and operated Newark Kalamein and Sheet Metal Works, Inc. Irv and Muriel resided in West Orange, New Jersey and moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1984.
Irving Wohl is survived by his son, Philip Wohl, EdE of Mesa; and his daughter, Robyn Wohl, artist, of New York City, New York.
A graveside service with US Army honors for Irving will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at 9:00 AM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257.
