My name is Joyce Ferro Moskovitz.  I grew up with George in The Bronx, New York.  I am so so sorry to read of his passing.  I've been looking for friends from that time and now I have found George.  What can I say...he was tons of fun.  George had many friends, some of those friends have also passed away.  He was a team player with sports like stick ball, which we played almost daily.  All the girls liked him.  He was easy and breezy and a truly good guy.  I am certain George is missed by all who knew him, loved him and served with him.

Like my brother Steve just said, some great times were had with George when we all served in Ethiopia. George was "the guy" you went to if you wanted sports news because we didn't have access then like now. Well known and well respected. And the parties were always better when George was around. We will miss George but always have great memories of our time with him. RIP brother.

I was a roommate of George during our days at ASU. He was a true friend then and over the years following. George made a trip to Germany to see my wife , new born son and me while stationed there. A TRUE PROFESSIONAL! George was well respected by the High School Coaches and Athletes as he covered Sporting events with class and professionalism. St.Mary's H.S. loved when he covered our games. We will miss his kind words and tremendous personality.I am sure he is covering some sporting event in Heaven.Prayers to his entire family.  A true Original.

When you were Georges friend you were truly his friend. We met as neighbors and had some of the most hilarious and fun moments between us and our families. We go back to when George and Joann were newlyweds. He took particular interest in our children and they never forgot it. I have and will continue to miss this unique and wonderful man

George was a great friend, a true sports broadcasting and cablecasting professional, and loved his family as much as any man I have known.

George was a dear friend to me for over 40 years. I loved him like a brother and tried to visit him as often as I could  to listen to his stories about our days at Arizona State.  My condolences to his devoted wife, JoAnne, and family during this most difficult time.
