Evangeline Martinez

She was born in Raton, New Mexico on December 27, 1932, and graduated from Raton High School.

Evangeline was married to Simon Martinez on June 28, 1952 in Raton, New Mexico.

She was a wonderful wife and mother and supported her husband, who served in the Air Force.

She had a loving heart and a passion for her family, and she loved her children and grandchildren greatly.

Evangeline is survived by her son Ray and his wife Melissa Martinez of Texas, her son Reuben Martinez of New Mexico, her son David and his wife Luann Martinez of New Mexico, her daughter Becky and her husband Percy Kirk of Arizona, her son Paul Martinez of Texas, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren, and her sister Beatriz Escarzaga.

A celebration of life will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico late this spring.

Evangeline will be laid to rest with her husband at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
