After her husband passed she sold the businesses and started working at Progressive Roofing, where she stayed until she retired.

Phoenix Suns were her all time favorite sports team, with her and her husband having season tickets for thirty years, Arizona State University (Go Devils), KC Chiefs, St. Louis Cardinals and the Arizona Diamondbacks. You could always tell who was playing that day as she would be decked out in that team's gear including necklaces, earrings and what color watch band she was going to wear with shoes to match. She was a dedicated fan.
