We are saddened to hear of the loss of Eiji.  We will miss his smiling face.  Our condolences to his family.

Our life in Phoenix was not there without meeting with Eiji-san.  Once every week we met him at Kanpai. His thoughts extended to my son Hidemasa was such a great one.  My apologies for not being able to have frequent conversation. The Miyamoto family expresses deepest condolences to the family of Eiji-san. May he rest in peace.  Yuki Miyamoto and the familyã€€from Seoul, Korea.

My deepest sympathy for your great loss.  I have known Eiji for at least 35 years.  He and Yuki Matsumoto have been great friends in my life.  My husband Gary helped them assemble their Kanpai Restaurant.  We ate sushi with them when they were at Shogun Restaurant many, many years ago.  God rest his soul.  What a good person, good heart, soul.  He always had a smile for everyone.  I am sure Yuki is as devastated as all of us together.  So young.........     Joan Abbott

Tina and I have made the restaurant a significant part of weekends for over 15 years and Eiji was a very big part of the experience.  His smiling face and graciousness made us feel so welcomed.  We will miss him greatly as will countless others.  Our heart go out to his wife and family.

We are so sad to hear this news about Eiji-san.  Our hearts go out to his family and to Yuki-san and our friends at Kampai.

I have known Eiji for 4 years now and always enjoyed talking to him.  I will miss saying hello to him and talking to him about life in Japan.  My thoughts and prayers.

We've known Eiji for seventeen or eighteen years and always enjoyed seeing him. We will miss him as will so many others. Our hearts go out to you.
