Dorothea Mae Lindebak

Dorothea Mae Lindebak, age 98, of Tempe Arizona, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 4, 1924, in Sioux City, IA. On June 29, 1946, she married Donley S. Lindebak in Sioux City, IA and moved to Arizona in 1954.

Dorothea and Don spent their marriage, raising their children and after retirement traveling in their 5th-wheel. She had a passion for crocheting and made dozens of blankets and dish rags that she gave to friends and family. She loved reading, doing crosswords, scratching lottery tickets, and watching her favorites shows Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and the Hallmark channel. Dorothea also maintained her membership to Beta Sigma Phi and was Woman of the Year in 2002.

Dorothea was preceded in death by her loving husband Donley, her son Dean, daughter Deann, mother Ollie, brother Don and daughter-in-law Karen. She is survived by two children, Don Ray (Betty), Dana (Lisa), son-in-law Charles, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous extended family and friends who she deeply cherished. Dorothea left us a legacy of love and caring for family and friends.

A funeral service for Dorothea will be held Friday, October 28, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257.
