Donna Jo Camelin

August 23, 1932 - September 23, 2013

Loving wife of F.J. "Jack" Camelin for 62 years. Beloved mother to Dan Camelin (Rhonda) of Dallas, TX, Vicky Cleary of Payson, AZ, and Gail Stephens (Craig) of Scottsdale, AZ. Adored grandmother of Richard Cleary of Scottsdale, AZ, D.J. and Ryan Camelin of TX, and Kayley Stephens of Scottsdale, AZ, as well as the great grandmother of five (Trystin, Riley, Reese, Talyn and Raiden) who all reside in Texas. Little sister to Peggy George (Richard) of Sun City, AZ, and favored aunt to their children Steve George (Arlene) of Sedona, AZ, and Ellen Castaldo (Joe) of Surprise, AZ. Born to Joseph and Edna Letsinger in El Paso, IL August 23, 1932. Donna met and married the love of her life, F.J. “Jack” Camelin, on April 21, 1951. With their children raised, Donna and Jack moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1973. There, the adventures began: camping, boating, skiing, off-roading, RV-ing, fishing, Friday night fish fries, dancing at the Elks, parties with the neighbors between the houses, trips to Rocky Point, and pretty much anything else their large circle of family and friends could entice them into! Donna passed away in her sleep on September 23, 2013. She is at peace. Services were held privately. The family will hold a Celebration of Life in Donna’s honor on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at The Tallyho Cocktail Lounge, 8479 E. McDonald Drive, Scottsdale, Arizona, 85250. Anyone wishing to celebrate our extraordinary and beautiful wife, mom, grams, grammie, geema, "Little Britches", (or whatever your favorite term of endearment might have been), please feel free to drop in any time between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. We encourage you to share your favorite story of Donna - we know there are many!
