Our beautiful beloved Deborah Lu Jackson (age 70) has been called home to Heaven where she has been joyously reunited with her loving husband Don Alan Jackson. Debbie was born in Missoula, Montana, the second child of Herbert and Della Roehl, she lived in Missoula until moving to Casa Grande, Arizona at the age of 19. Debbie married Don Jackson in 1973 and had 4 children. Dallas (deceased 1975), Denny, Dustin, and Dawn. Don passed away in 1993. Debbie later married Donald Blackmon in 2004 until his death in 2014.
Debbie held a number of positions over the years including reception at the Boy Scouts of America, customer service at Kmart, and Police Dispatcher for the City of Avondale Police Department. It wasn’t until she became a Police Dispatcher for the City of Goodyear that she found her career. She retired in 2004.
Debbie is remembered for being a loving and attentive mother and grandmother, as well as being warm and inviting to all those around her. From the time her children were young, even to now, their friends refer to her as “Mom”. She was and always will be a mother to many.
Debbie was preceded in death by her husbands Don and Donald, her mother Della, her father Herbert, and one son (Dallas). She is survived by her brother Steve Roehl, sister-in-law Denise Roehl, her sons Denny and Dustin, her daughter Dawn Johnson, son-in-law Michael Johnson, as well as her 4 grandchildren Thayne, Kiera, Xavier, and Annabelle.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 20th between 4-7pm at:
