Darlene was born in Redondo Beach, California on May 28, 1942 to Daisy (Miller) and Leo Hamen. As an adult, Darlene met her soulmate and the love of her life, Stanley Cahoon. For most of her career she worked for the Washington School District, as a special needs School Bus Driver and enjoyed all of the students she encountered. Darlene had many passions including coloring, gambling and watching The Young & the Restless; she could never get enough of her soaps and always insisted her family watch with her (even with their reluctance, they always did).
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Cahoon, her children Donald Junior and Connie, and her siblings Donnie, Ronnie, Dennis and Larry. She is survived by her daughters Teresa McKayle, Debbie (Pat and Family), and sons Corey, and Rennie (Sharon), her grandchildren, Justin (Krystal), Brent (Michelle), Misty, Bre (Nick), Shawn (Angela and children), Amanda (Greg and children), Casey (Andrew and children), Kelly (Bernice), Aaron, Richie (Sunny), Troy (and family), Trevor (and family), her great-grandchildren Ariana, Autumn, Hannah, Liana, Matthew, Axel, Stanley, Roxy, Camry, Quentin, Cordae, and Crimson.
Darlene was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and she will truly be missed, but will always remain the brightest twinkling star in the sky.
