Chandler, AZ - Cường Văn Hoàng, 74, passed away on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at his residence. He leaves behind his wife Hương Thúy Phạm Hoàng; his two sons, Sơn Trường Hoàng, daughter-in-law, Phượng Hoàng and Đạt Quốc Hoàng; his three grandchildren, An Nhật Hoàng, Mi Diễm Hoàng, and Thư Minh Hoàng and many other close friends and family.
Born in Hanoi, Vietnam and raised in Saigon, Vietnam, the son of Châu Văn Hoàng and Quý Thị Bùi he joined the Republic of Vietnam military and fought for his country as a fighter pilot for the South Vietnamese government during the Vietnam War. After the war ended, he relocated his family by escaping the country like many other ‘boat people’ to find freedom in the United States. He provided for his family working as a technician in the electronics industry seeing to that his family can live a life of freedom, the freedom that he had fought for.
He leaves behind his family who now resides in Scottsdale, AZ. On behalf of our father Cường Văn Hoàng, we thank our friends and family who have come to share your condolences. Our father led a very quiet and private life towards the end and we wanted to express our gratitude to everyone who have reached out and to him during those times. A funeral service for Cuong will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. with a viewing from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. A witness cremation will occur Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 9:00 AM.
