Charles Christopher Christen, 86, of Scottsdale, Arizona peacefully passed away on Friday, October 18th, 2024. Charlie was born to Alfred and Edna Christen in Cincinnati, Ohio April 2, 1938. Charlie was a hardworking, generous, devoted, loving family man.
Charlie was predeceased by his loving wife, Jeanne Christen of almost 65 years. He is survived by his two sons Craig (Carol) and Mark (Cat). Including his grandchildren, Jessica Salazar (Jose), Nicole Christen (Ty), Jasmine McAvan, Jonathan Christen, and Andrew McAvan. And, his great grandchildren: Jordan, Josselyn, Lilah and Evan.
Charlie was a Glazier for many years and started his own company in commercial and residential windows, glass and mirrors. He was also very talented in painting houses. In his earlier years, Charlie had many achievements. He loved to train his AKC Keeshond, Anna McFrau. And, he was the first to ever receive two perfect scores for AKC utility and obedience. He enjoyed bowling and bowled the high score of 300. He was also part of a pistol shooting club and car club. He shared his loved for the outdoors, fishing and hunting, with his family. Every summer, for several years, Charlie and Jeanne would drive to Ohio for the Christen annual July 4th hog roast and spending weeks visiting with family and friends. Charlie loved to buy antiques, especially clocks, flow blue and Pennsylvania pottery.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was cremated and interred at Green Acres on November 8th, 2024 and placed by his wife, Jeanne. May he finally rest in peace, reunited for eternity with her – he is the driver, she is the navigator all the while listening to their nostalgic 50’s music.
