Carol B. Pontius

Carol was second to the youngest of six children. Carol is preceded in death by her husband Ralph, son Dean Pontius, daughter in law Fran Pontius, her parents, and her five siblings Ben Stork, Dana Mansur, Doris Schwartz, Dale Stork, and Willis Stork. Carol made her choice to serve God in 1942. Carol and Ralph were married on May 19, 1951, and they enjoyed 41 years together. They had three children, all born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They moved to Arizona in 1966 and to Scottsdale in 1967. They had the privilege of holding fellowship meetings in their home for 28 years.

Carol worked in semiconductors and electronic manufacturing at Motorola until she retired in 1994. Carol loved poetry and had a wonderful memory for poetry, and wrote many beautiful poems. She was never without her Bible and a good book. She loved camping, traveling and even after Ralph passed away, she took several trips, some alone, some with her grandchildren. She had a wonderful open home to all and always had ice cream and homemade goodies.

She is survived by her children, Linda & Will Hill, Duane & Jill Pontius, grandchildren Anita Hill, Alex & Gabriella Hill, Andrew Hill & Carrie Nelson, Alissa & Damon Grant, Devon Pontius, and Elleri Pontius, and one great-granddaughter, Freya Hill.
