Anita Compton

She was born on December 9, 1946 in Austin, Minnesota to Alvin and Arlene Jensen. Anita and her family moved to El Paso, Texas in the fall of 1952 and soon thereafter moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1953. She graduated from Cornado High School in 1965 where she was recognized as an outstanding art student and helped create the Mosaic, which still resides in front of the school.

Anita is survived by her husband, Jerry Wayne Compton, and her two daughters; Kirsten Marie Shahan, and Stacey Rae Shahan. Grandchildren; Richard A Colson III, Carter Wayne Colson and Sara Rae Shahan. She is also survived by her siblings; Alan (Marge) Jensen, Lynn (Rita) Jensen, and Craig (Paula) Jensen.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin ad Arlene Jensen, one sister Elvera Jensen McIntire; one brother Neal Jensen; and one nephew Eric Charter Jensen.

A memorial service for Anita will be held Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. A cremation will occur.
