Robert “Bob” C. Lore, 87, passed on September 25, 2024, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He was born on January 13, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, to loving parents Carl and Loretta (Brooke) Lore.
In his early years, he received his education in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He didn’t graduate high school but he did find a calling in the United States Air Force from June 29, 1956 thru June 28, 1960, and also served in the National Guard from September 2, 1970-May 23, 1991. Shortly after the Air Force, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Booth. The happy union was on April 1, 1961, in Ypsilanti. In 1970, they called Minatare, Nebraska, home.
During his life, he loved being with his family. He was also very patriotic and loved his country. He was an active member in the American Legion (Post 36) in Gering, Nebraska. He found it a great honor to play taps for many occasions for 10 years.
You could also find him enjoying life in many ways. He always found a calling and enjoyed the outdoors. However, if there was a Husker game or wrestling, he could be found near the television. But if you wanted his attention, he always welcomed a new eagle to his vast collection.
He is survived by his loving wife; daughter Darlene (Lee) Shultz; son Brian (Lori) Lore; grandchildren Mike, Tiffany, Christopher, Krystal, Jessica, Kacie, Janet, Carolyn, Hadlee; and 11 great grandchildren.
He is preceded by his parents; brother William Lore; sister Delores Elliott and Bernadine McDermott.
He will be greatly missed by all.
