Maria Del Rosario Salazar Garibay, 54, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away on September 3, 2019 at Heart Center of The Rockies in Loveland, Colorado. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 9th from 2-5 PM at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, September 10th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Sorensen officiating. Maria was born February 20, 1965 at Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Miguel Salazar and San Juana Garibay. She received her education in Scottsbluff, graduating from Scottsbluff High School. She received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Concorde Career Institute. She made her home in California for 14 years before moving to Florida where she lived for the last 15 years, working as a Hospice Nurse for the last 11 years. She was a very dedicated nurse.
Maria loved spending time with her family (especially the grandkids), crafting, spending time at the beach, music, dancing with the grandkids and cooking tortillas (everyone LOVED them).
Maria is survived by her daughters Ana Anaya and Ashlee Salazar Seda; grandchildren Alicia Anaya, Joseph Anaya, Mayah Anaya, and Noah Salazar; brothers Juan (Jenny) Salazar and Alejandro (Samantha) Salazar; sisters Norma (Hector) Hernandez and Lupe Salazar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, brother Fernando Salazar, maternal and paternal grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.
