Maria Gomez, 57, of Lyman, Nebraska passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 24, 2017 at her home in Lyman. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dugankramer.com.
Maria was born on April 16, 1960 to Jesus and Conception (Torres) Gomez at Mason, Texas, where she was raised. Maria had 21 brothers and sisters growing up. Maria moved from Texas to travel the country, and found her home in Colorado, and eventually in Lyman, Nebraska.
Maria was a positive person and always had a big smile on her face. She never did anything before she got herself dressed up and her make-up just right. She loved her God, family, and friends with all her heart and her grandchildren came before anyone else. She always kept a very clean house and was described as a ‘clean-freak’ by her family. Maria loved to spend her time watching her Soap Operas and cooking great food for her family. She loved to attend dances to listen and dance to Hispanic music. She lived her life to the fullest and will always be remembered as a loving mother, and grandmother.
Maria is survived by her loving husband Francisco Rodriguez and her children and their families; Camellia (Guellermo) Nevarez and their children Jesus Nevarez, Raquel Nevarez, Lucymaria Gomez, and Omar Nevarez; Patricia (Guadalupe) Tarin and their children Mackenzie Billie, Desarae Billie, Robert Billie, and Guadalupe Tarin; Francisco (Gina Salazar) Gomez and their children Gabriel Gomez, Mariana Gomez, and Renea Gomez; Yolanda (Anthony) Martinez and her children, Alexis Longoria, Rosalee Gomez, and Jayden Lopes and special grandson Johnathon Guerro; Tomas (Dina Carbajal) Venegas and their son Diego Venegas; and Crystal Venegas and her children Darius Cope, Heather Cope, and Juan Venegas. Maria is also survived by many other family member and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Conception Gomez, many brothers and sisters including Jesse, Martin, Elveristo, and Elvida Gomez, and many other family members.
