Katherine Margaret Kaufman

Katherine Margaret Kaufman, 99, of Scottsbluff, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Golden Living Center-Scottsbluff. Her memorial services will be 1:00 Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Garry Schick officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Katherine was born October 7, 1913 in Gering, NE to Frederick and Katherine Margaret (Schnell) Schaffer, Sr. She received her education in Bayard Schools. She married Daniel Kaufman September 1, 1933 at Harrisburg, NE. They made their home in Melbeta before moving to Scottsbluff. Katherine was a member of Zion Evangelical Church. She is survived by her son Jerry (Claire) Kaufman, Colorado Springs, CO; Grandchildren: Kimberley Kaufman, and her son Raymond Arnzen, Shakapee, MN, Scott Kaufman, Colorado Springs and his daughter and granddaughter Krista and Piper DeLanie Otkin-Bumgarner, in MN, Chris (Melissa) Kaufman, Colorado Springs, CO, Mark Kaufman, Medford, MA, Laura Kaufman, and her daughter Chancy Kaufman of Scottsbluff, NE and Beverly Fisher, Scottsbluff, NE; and sister Lillian Kehling, Northglenn, CO, and many extended family members. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Daniel, son James Kaufman, , brothers Frederick Schaffer, Jr. and Alec Schaffer and sisters Mary Kaufman and Eva Feil.
