Jan L. Oehlrich Wiseman, 58, of Gering, died Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2017. In lieu of flowers, condolences may be sent to 1400 O Street, Gering, NE 69341. Jan was born March 18, 1958 at Van Nuys, California to Bud and Mary Lee (Hagemeister) Oehlrich. The family lived in California, Nevada, and Colorado before settling in Gering where Jan received her education. Jan married Arthur Harsh and to this union John and Rebecca were born.
Jan was united in marriage to Jerry Wiseman on May 27, 1989 at Gering and the family was made complete with the birth of Chelsey. She worked at the Gaslight Restaurant, Midwec, owned and operated Gering photo, and was actively involved in the family business. Jan was very active in the community as well as following sports. She was a die hard Green Bay Packers fan.
Jan was a very vibrant, loving, caring and free spirited woman. She had a great sense of humor and was very creative. She was really passionate about her photos and loved to spend her free time in the garden. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow up.
Jan was a woman of God and had a strong faith. She always tried to lift others up. She would communicate in a very loving way to both children and adults alike.
Jan is survived by her husband Jerry Wiseman; son John (Jessie) Harsh; daughters Rebecca Payne and Chelsey Wiseman (Dakota); grandchildren Jason, Justin, Jacob, Danika, Bailee, and Isabella; mother and step-father Mary Lee and Charlie Anderson; sister Kim (Craig) Charron; brother Kurt (Mary Ann) Oehlrich; father-in-law Jerry (Gayle) Wiseman, Sr.; uncle John Hagemeister; aunt Brandy Anne (Mark) Pearson; Special friend Donna Delsing; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jan was preceded in death by her father Bud Oehlrich; grandparents Bruce and Leola Hagemesiter and Herman and Katherin Oehlrich; mother-in-law Betty Wiseman; and sister-in-law Patty Wiseman.
