Floyd K. McGuire, 69, of Scottsbluff passed from a world of darkness into a world of color on June 10, 2012 at his home in Scottsbluff. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bob Haverick officiating. Friends may visit at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12. Memorial can be made to Region I Office of Human Development. Floyd was born September 3, 1943 to Dale and Leolá (Couch) McGuire in Chadron, Nebraska. At the age of 5 ½ years he entered the Beatrice State Development Center in Beatrice, Nebraska. In 1988, Floyd came into the services of Region I Office of Human Development. Floyd had a passion for trains and each week he would visit a train car in Gering. He went on many train rides around the country but the highlight of his life was when he rode one to the Grand Canyon. He also loved John Deere Tractors. Floyd loved the Lord and looked forward to his time at Friendship Ministries at the Church of God. Floyd will be missed by his many dear friends at Region I Office of Human Development and friends in the community. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
