Services will be held on Saturday, November 17 at 10:00 a.m. at The Rock Church with Pastor Tyson Lambertson officiating. A private family burial will be at High Butte Cemetery. He was born August 2, 1960, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Gerald and Erma (Colerick) Snyder. He attended Melbeta Public School and graduated in 1979.
After high school, he worked various labor and service jobs around the Scottsbluff area. In the early 1990’s he pursued the electric trade, which became the main focus of the rest of his life. He worked for Snell Services, the City of Scottsbluff, Heggem Construction, and finally as an electrical inspector for the State of Nebraska for the past 12 years.
He married his high school sweetheart, Lori Roberts, on June 6, 1981, and lived their lives together in or near Horseshoe Bend, Nebraska.
He was a regular attender of The Rock Church, serving for several years in the tech and security ministry areas. He served the Morrill County Fair as a board member and Swine Superintendent. He also served on the McGrew Fire Department. More recently, he was serving as a board member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors.
Dale enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids, going on yearly camping trips and visiting for holidays and special occasions. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout the years. He loved ‘talking shop’ with fellow electricians and teaching electrical code classes regularly.
Dale is survived by his wife Lori, children Joanna (Ryan) Swanson, Kim (Tim) Hendricks, and Matt (Kimee) Snyder; grandchildren Titus and Ellie Swanson, Robby and Paxon Hendricks, and Hannah, Brecken, Evan, and Mckennah Snyder; brother Jay (Lorie) Snyder, sister-in-law Kay (Kenny) Manka, mother-in-law Addie Roberts; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Bob Roberts.
