Funeral Services for Carlos Paz Sr., Age 53 of Mitchell Nebraska, who died Friday, November 13th 2020, unexpectedly at his home, will be held Monday November 23rd 2020 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home with visitation from 11-2 and Funeral services starting at 2:00 PM with Agustin Portillo officiating. A burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill, Ne. The family has suggested wearing blue/white/silver or Dallas Cowboy attire to honor the memory of Carlos. The family also requested that masks be worn in accordance with current health mandates. A memorial has been established to honor Carlos’s memory and to assist the family. Carlos was born November 15th 1967 to Lydia Granado and Melquiades Paz in Walla Walla Washington. He was raised in Texas and received his early education in the Crystal City Public School District, Graduating from Crystal City High School in 1986. Carlos later moved to Mitchell Nebraska with his two children and purchased his first home in 1998. Where he lived up until the time of his passing. He had a deep love of cars, the Dallas Cowboys, as well as the Spurs Basketball Organization. He was a very welcoming, and kind individual, who greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Carlos was always full of fun and strange facts which he would share with his family, he also enjoyed watching home improvement videos, car auctions, and he loved to sit and have long conversations with whoever would sit around his table with him. He was the pillar of strength for his children, and he never wavered in the face of adversity. He had a deep love of Christ our Lord which he carried with him throughout his life. He will be greatly missed, but will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his Daughter Laura Paz of Scottsbluff and her five children, Letticia, Skylee, Immanuel, Ifeanyi and Ariana, Son Carlos Paz of Scottsbluff, Dad Melquiades Paz of Crystal City TX, Sister Angela Olmos of Mitchell NE, Sister Eloisa Paz of San Antonio TX, Brother Martin Paz of Greeley CO, Sister-in-Law Patricia Paz of Greeley CO, Son-in-Law Jose Martinez of Duluth MN, Nieces Lydia Olmos and Katia Olmos and Tasha Paz, Nephews Edmund M Olmos Jr. and Emilio Paz, Granddaughter Destiny Gonzales and Brother-In-Law Homer Gonzales Jr., and his Best Friend Michell Garcia of Ogallala, as well as many aunts, uncles,cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his Uncle Vidal Paz, his Mother Lydia Paz,his Brother in Law Edmund Miguel Olmos Sr, His Great Niece Ariah Lynn Narvaez, his Grandmother Lorenza Garcia, and his Nephew Romen Martin Paz.
