Aaron Michael Mead

Funeral services for Aaron Michael Mead, 40 of Scottsbluff who was unexpectedly called home by Jesus on April 12, 2025 will be held at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home on April 29th at 2:00pm. Aaron was born in Grand Island, Nebraska on January 7th, 1985. He lived a variety of places including Holdrege, Kansas City, Chappell, Sidney, Rapid City, and Scottsbluff. He met his lifelong best friend Matt in Chappell where his early schooling began and he later attended school in Sturgis. He worked in construction and enjoyed learning concrete. He was hard working and dedicated at every job he held. Eventually Aaron settled in the Scottsbluff area where he started working at Kurt Manufacturing in 2012. He worked as a machinist and eventually a tool and die grinder. Aaron wore many hats at Kurt and had many coworkers he was close to. In Scottsbluff, he met the love of his life Crystal and they were married May 24th, 2014. The next year he became a father to identical twin boys and they became his whole world. He was always doing things with them and continued striving to meet their unique needs. He loved being a dad and poured his life into his kids. He loved being with friends tagging along on any adventure or just wandering around stores. He also enjoyed metal detecting, fishing, and construction projects. He loved to joke around and makes others laugh, was quick to give to anyone in need, or just lend a hand. When things got too serious, he was always the first to throw a gotcha hand circle to lighten the mood. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife Crystal Mead and Sons Nathan Dean and Ethan Smith Mead of Scottsbluff, Parents Jack and Brenda Mead of Ogallala, Brother Jeremy (Katie) Cash of Nebraska City, Sister Jasmine Roskilly (Nathan Talkington) of Axtell and her children Austin Barnhill, Ayrik and Emma Talkington, Sister Riah (TJ) Mitchell of Ogallala and children Bryleigh Mead, Caleb and Trinity Mitchell Sister Abbi (Derek) Ott of Kearney, sister Larissa Mead of Ogallala, Brother Benjamin Mead (Amanda) of Ogallala and children Milo, Reece, and Bryar Mead, and Grandparents Betty And husband Frank Royse of Kearney, Grandma Paula Burgess of Minden, and Grandma Jeanine Armstong of Ogallala. And Many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his mother Barbara Burgess Loper, grandparents Ron and Linda Mead, and Grandfather Larry Burgess Sr.
