Thomas V. Serino, Jr., MD – 71, Of Marshfield, formerly of Scituate passed away peacefully at home on the evening of March 12, 2016 surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Cornyn) Serino with whom he shared nearly 30 years of marriage.
Devoted father of Jessica (Serino) Pike and her husband Christopher of Plymouth, Alyssa Serino of Plymouth, Gillian (Serino) Bossio and her husband Jeffrey of Kingston and Rebeccah Serino-Farry and her husband Richard of Holbrook.
Cherished Papa of Abigail, Emily and James Pike; Noah, Ella, Luke and Rose Bossio; and Liberty, Grace and Ricky Farry.
Loving brother of Marie Flynn and her husband John of Florida and Janet David and her late husband Armen of Waltham. Son in law and friend of William Cornyn of Scituate. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas V. Serino, Sr. and Marion (Iovanni) Serino and his late wife Kathleen (Fitzpatrick) Serino.
Dr. Serino was a graduate of Tufts Medical School and practiced internal medicine in Scituate for 33 years. He enjoyed spending winters with his wife at their home in The Villages, FL over the past decade.
Funeral service at the First Baptist Church, 660 Country Way, Scituate on Friday, March 18th at 11 AM. Interment Fairview Cemetery. Visiting hours at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate on Thursday, March 17th from 4 to 8 PM.
