She was the beloved mother of one son, James Worton and his wife Dianne of Elkton, MD, and four daughters, Harriet Webb and her husband Fred of Bolton, MA, Elizabeth Worton of Hull, Sarah Worton of Sharon, and Katherine Page and her husband John of Winthrop.
Cherished “Grandma Suess” of Jennie, Ben, Kyle, Zachary, Carly, Brittany, Meghan, Melissa and Mathew. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Susan was born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Noah Wellington Yates and Anna J. (Corns) Yates. She was a proud graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, VA, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and applied music. She was a deeply spiritual woman, always connected with her Christian faith.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate, MA on Saturday Sept. 19th, 2015 from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M.. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Trinity Park Cemetery in her beloved Scituate.
