Robert B. Serino

SERINO, Robert B. OF Silver Spring, MD formerly of Cambridge, MA passed away peacefully on April 13, 2016. Devoted husband of Marilyn B. Serino. Beloved father of Alison Serino and husband Brian Baczkowski of Bethesda, MD and Amy Serino and husband Brian Baker of Andover, MA. Cherished grandfather of Bobby and Chloe Baczkowski and Lucy and Miles Baker. Dear brother of John Serino of Belmont, MA and Joan Shute of Aurora, CO. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Bob graduated from Tufts University and Suffolk Law School. He served as a Captain in the US Naval Reserves and as a Blue and Gold Officer for the Naval Academy. He entered the honors program at the US Justice Dept in 1969 and in 1971 became the Director of Enforcement for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency US Treasury Dept. He retired as the Deputy Chief Counsel at the OCC in 2000. Most recently he served Of Counsel at BuckleySandler LLP and as Senior Advisor at Watkins Consulting.

Visiting hours will be Monday, April 18th from 4-8 PM at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 19th at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, One Kent Street, Scituate. Private interment on Wednesday at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
